WIN THE "WHAT IN HELL IS THIS THING?" CONTEST!!
The first person to correctly identify this object will win a pot of delicious honey direct from my backyard beehives. Some clues -- its old. You can still use it. Its cast iron. It is marked "Art aseptible Furniture Co., St. Louis, Mo." (which tells you absolutely nothing about it). You can guess as many times as you like and I'll be surprised if anyone guesses correctly. Put on your thinking caps!!

My friend, Susanne, thinks it's either a child's potty seat or a measuring cup of some sort. I think it's something used to heat metal to pour into wooden forms used in making artillary shells (cannonballs?)
ReplyDeleteis the a medical utensil sterilizer pot?
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI found one of these things too, and I can't figure out what it is! I was hoping that you could shed a little light for me?
Thanks!
I have one exactly like it also. I have no idea but would guess a cigar ash tray. I think it is used to heat something, probably medicine.
ReplyDeleteTo sterilize medicine from sepsis.
