Cheap Appliances

Habitat for Humanity is a great place to look for new or slightly used appliances that have been tested by Habitat and pretty much guaranteed to work properly.  Several years ago I got this brand new electric water heater for $59.95!!  I believe they retail for between $250 and $350.  Its been running now for about 3 years with no problems.  Plus, your purchase price goes directly to Habitat to help people get a new home built by Habitat.

  1. Hi. Finding stuff on the side of the road is much more fun that buying it. Some of the things I have found include my dog, the sweetest golden retriever/? in the world. She was left behind as a mere puppy by some itinerant tree trimmers after Hurricane Charley. I also saw an old trailer piled with stuff hauled to the side of the road to be disposed of. I hauled the trailer home on its as-is wobbly, rotten tires. Most of the stuff on it was construction materials include rolls and rolls of out-of-date wire, which I used when I re-wired my house. I also fixed up the trailer, which I use to haul stuff with.
Good luck with your blog, sweetie!
